Self help books!?!

I am not really a self help book reader, mostly because I end up feeling guilty or adding to my list of need to do's. I read Strangling Your Husband is not an Option for book club (I really should go to book club since I am actually reading the books--oh well) Anyhow, I really liked it. No guilt just a lot of pondering. I was telling my sister-in-law about it and she suggested Take Two Chocolates and Call Me in the Morning. It took me a while to muster up the will to read another self help book. I was pushing my luck reading two back to back and both of them being good. I loved it. I loved it so much I am going to read it again. She really made me think about somethings. Maybe I am just finally getting it, I don't know, but it was great!

  1. Way to make me feel guilty. Number 1 for not reading books, number 2 for missing out on books that are good for book club. I will check it out. Thanks!

  2. I read the Take Two Chocolates book and really liked it as well.

I don't know if it falls under the "self help" category but you should read The Uses of Adversity by Carlfred Broderick. It has lots of stories and is really great.
