Every year I swear we are going to buy a new tree that is prelit.....and for some reason or another we never feel like we can afford it. So we are left to put up a tree and attempt to string the lights all the while keeping our happy marriage intact.
I am not real sure why this always seems so difficult maybe we are both too stubborn and picky. I am happy to report that we did accomplish getting the tree lit. I even think that maybe this year was easier. I started from the bottom and Jared from the top agreeing to meet in the middle......I didn't even step back to see if it was even. The tree is up, lit, and the kids are happy. What more do I need?
As you can see from the pictures the kids never cease to keep things lively and entertaining. Poor Gunnar doesn't really realize these pictures will come back to haunt him someday.

Congratulations! Your tree is up. I am trying to hold the kids off as long as possible. If you ever want to make your tree pre-lit let me know. I electrical taped my lights onto the tree.
