Why?

Why is it at approximately 3:20 my house becomes a zoo? Why does the noise level exceed the allowable limit by the BCNL (Ballard Communicating Noise Level)? Why at that precise moment does Gannon want to be held, fed, changed? Why does every problem on the homework assignment need defining by the mother? Why does my daughter feel the need to do a dance upon completion of a homework problem? Why does the after school snack turn into a three course meal? Why is there a trail of shoes, socks, backpacks, books, gloves, hats, coats from my kitchen door to their rooms? Why don't children know how to "summarize" their day? Why does piano practice seem so torturous? Why does a 3 minute chore suddenly take 30? Why must dinner be made somewhere in this time period? Why don't the other kids in the neighborhood come and save me? More importantly..............Why do I love it when my kids come home? :)
